What vegan cheese actually melts well? Need recommendations!

I've been vegan for about 6 months now and the one thing I really miss is a proper grilled cheese sandwich with melty cheese. I've tried a few brands but they either don't melt at all or get this weird rubbery texture. Has anyone found a brand that actually melts like real cheese? Bonus points if it's available at regular grocery stores (not just Whole Foods). Thanks in advance!

Violife Epic Cheddar is hands down the best melter I've found. The trick is to use medium-low heat and cover the pan - the steam helps it melt evenly. It gets genuinely stretchy and gooey. I make grilled cheese with it at least twice a week!

I second Violife! My kids can't tell the difference. Also try Miyoko's mozzarella on pizza - it browns and bubbles just like the real thing. Cover the pizza with foil for the first 5 minutes of baking.

Follow Your Heart slices melt really well too, and they're usually cheaper than Violife. For nachos specifically, I've had great luck with Daiya Cutting Board shreds - they get nice and gooey in the microwave.
